Obesity's Child

All Ya Gotta Do Is…….

 Are you kidding me?

I heard that phrase so many times as an overweight child that when I hear it now about anything…I cringe. Well-meaning people can be so…what’s the word I’m looking for here? Dumb! People told me all the time, “Lois, all ya gotta do is stop eating!!!! Really?  All ya gotta do is eat less, or eat only rice or some dumb thing like that. Hey, I was a kid, and I ate what I was told to eat. Oh, and I had to eat everything on my plate cuz somehow that help all those starving kids in China.

Dear, sweet parents, grandparents, or guardians of overweight, or children in general, get wisdom, and while you’re at it get some understanding (Pr. 4:5). You are the boss of what you serve to eat at your house. The things you can teach your children at a very young age will really help them make better choices when they are older and away from you.

Remember, our choices always produce something.  We can give our children the gift of wise decisions. This doesn’t just apply to how, and what we eat; everything we do in life is a choice.

Wisdom is there for the asking. James 1:5-8, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

It's never too late to learn, change, be a doer, and

 Pay it Forward, Right!

Stay on God’s side…It just works better!
