The Best Diet;
The best diet you can go on is the one you can stay on for life. Most people just want to lose weight, but never change the reasons they got fat to begin with. You know what’s next, right? Yep, you gain the weight back plus more. Been there, done that! No more, I changed, and am changing every day. It’s something you keep doing UNTIL.
Here are a few things that I changed to help me lose 170+ pounds. Wow, that’s a whole person!
I really like the taste of most all foods. I found that I could work with the recipes, cut out a bunch of fat, and calories, and it still tastes great.
We can do that for our kids as well. Who doesn’t like BBQ chicken, right? I’m not a fan of white meat chicken sooooo, I don’t buy it. I get thighs and take the skin off before I cook it. I use McCormick Grill Mates…Smokehouse Maple, BBQ, and Mesquite. Put a good amount on both sides, bake in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes, or BBQ, of course.
Another calorie, and carb buster is Walden’s Farms BBQ sauce, salad dressings, and really great syrups. No calories, no carbs, no fat, no sugar, no gluten, no msg, but a bunch of great taste. You can get a great selection at Barons Markets, Roots, Sprouts, (more expensive) and some at major markets. I didn’t like the peanut butter, or jellies but the chocolate syrup was ok. They have a lot of choices. One of my favorite dressings is the Asian. It’s makes a great meat marinade, or stir-fry dish as well.
We don’t need to give up good food, and flavor to lose weight and keep it off, or to help our kids be smart eaters. We just need to know how to make some simple changes.
